Seasonally, Jacmel is continually tasked with designing new, trendy packaging for all of their brands. The challenge is thinking outside the box while also staying true to the brands’ aesthetic. In this particular I looked at all previous Jessica Simpson boxes we had already produced and in stores. I then created a mood-board of ideas and visuals that work within the typical brand guidelines. From there I chose to go in a “‘western direction”. After my bandana design I had to ideate more western motifs, which led me to rope. I made my own custom brush to make the rope. After creating several versions of different colors, rope direction, and sizing, this is the final product to be sold in stores this Spring.
